Introduction

I have learned a lot of things in Brother Sherlog, period C Exegetes. Brother Sherlog talked about people in the Bible that compared to else, and he showed us how they were tested by God and how they were able to do his task. in Brother Sherlog period C, I was able to get closer to get closer to God spirtiually, and phycially.

Edmund Rice

Edmund Rice was born 1762 and died 1844.
Edmund Rice created schools to help kids get off the streets and get an education.
Edmund Rice gave up his money and started listening to God's orders to help people.

Exegesis

Exegesis is the study of scriptures.

Saint Jerome is our number one exegete.

He told us to chew the scriptures with the teeth of our mind.

Moses

Moses was sent out on a mission by God to lead the Israelites into freedom.

Moses had his helper Aaron speak to the pharaoh because when he spoke he stuttered.

Moses was able to get the Israelites away from slavery.

Moses was told to bring the Israelites to the Promised Land.

On his journey to the Promised Land God gave Moses the 10 Commandments.

The 10 Commandments was to lead people in the right direction.

Cream

Christ rules everything around me, not Cash rules everything around me. Some people chose Cash over Christ. Christ would always lead you in the right way, money always comes with a negative affect. Christ is always on top of money.

Job

Job was tested by God, he had faith. God and Satan made a deal. God told Satan Job would never betray me and curse my man. Satan did a lot of bad things to Job but he never betrayed God.

Vox Dei, Imago Dei

Vox Dei means the voice of God.

Imago Dei means we are in the image of God.

When the teacher says Vox the class responds with Dei.

That means it is time to leave, because God is talking to us so we could go to our next class.

Everyone is made in the image of God. It doesnt matter what skin color, or what race you are, we are all still Imago Dei

The 10 Commandments

1)I am the Lord thy God, you shall not have other Gods before me

2)Thy shall not make unto thee any graven images.

3)Thy shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.

4)Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

5)Honor your father and thy mother.

6)Thy shall not kill.

7)Thy shall not commit adultery.
8)Thy shall not steal.

9)Thy shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10)Thy shall not covet thy neighbor's house.

Mary

Mary was the mother of God and Jesus. Mary gave birth to Jesus when she was a virgin. Mary was concieved by the Holy Spirit, and that she would have Gods son. Mary was born with no sin. Mary is looked at by catholics as the mother of everyone.

R.I.C.E.

Responsibility, Integrity, Courage, Empowerment. These are the things that help a Rice man be succesful in life and help them graduate. Rice High School is a Catholic School that was founded by the Christian Brothers.

Jesus and his 12 Apostles

Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus was born on December 25, accoring to the Christian religion. Jesus was sent down by his Father to spread the word of God. Jesus had help spreading the word of God with his 12 Apostles. There was some doubt about him being the Son of God. People began to realize he was the son of God.. Jesus was crucified by the Roman. When Jesus died he was able to open the gates of Heaven.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I learned a lot throughout the year. Brother Sherlog period C, helped me to become a better Rice Man. His class helped me prepare for my sophmore year and beyond.
